Fair Winds Flotilla: A Festive Farewell to the Erie Canal Boat "Seneca Chief"
Join us for an evening on the "Harbor Queen" and cruise alongside the Erie Canal Boat "Seneca Chief" - one week before it departs on the Bicentennial Voyage!
Enjoy stunning sunset views, snap once-in-a-lifetime photos of the Seneca Chief traveling alongside the Harbor Queen, and raise a toast to the trip ahead. All proceeds support Buffalo Maritime Center’s Bicentennial Voyage — a 33-day, 500-mile journey along the Erie Canal and Hudson River, with stops in 28 communities across New York State from September 24 to October 26, 2025.
EVENT SCHEDULE:
5:30 PM: Arrival & Check-in at Buffalo Boat Tours booth at Central Wharf at Canalside (44 Prime Street, Buffalo, NY 14202)*
6:00 PM: Harbor Queen departs docks; cruise begins!
*Please arrive at check-in 30 minutes before the cruise at the Buffalo Boat Tours booth at Central Wharf at Canalside, 44 Prime Street, Buffalo, NY 14202. Find the Buffalo Boat Tours booth on the boardwalk close to the brown wooden Longshed building.
Accessibility Notes from Buffalo Boat Tours: Harbor Queen is wheelchair friendly. There is an accessible gangway from the boardwalk to the dock and ramps to embark on the boats. Please note that the marine bathrooms are not wheelchair accessible but there is space to wheel up to the bathroom doors.
